THE POODLES: European Tour Dates Announced

Swedish hard rockers THE POODLES have scheduled the following European tour dates:

Nov. 08 - Caracol - Madrid, Spain
Nov. 11 - Fabrik - Bruchsal, Germany
Nov. 12 - Sounds - Essen, Germany
Nov. 13 - November Rocks Festival - Offenburg, Germany
Nov. 14 - Soundtrack Arcene - Bergamo, Italy
Nov. 15 - Sottotetto - Bologna, Italy
Nov. 19 - Tibis Downstairs Club - Bern, Switzerland
Nov. 20 - The Rock Temple - Kerkrade, Netherlands

THE POODLES recently inked a European deal with Blistering Records. The band's third album, "Clash Of The Elements", will be released on August 28.

"Clash Of The Elements" recently entered the official chart in the band's home country at position No. 5.

Audio samples of all 14 tracks that appear on the CD can be streamed in the YouTube clip below. Also available is the video for the single "One Out Of Ten", which was written by singer Jakob Samuel (THE RING, TALISMAN, JEKYLL & HYDE) and Nicolo Fragile and was mixed by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, METALLICA).

The group, which last year parted ways with record label Lionheart International after a three-year partnership, once again worked with producer Mats Valentin.

THE POODLES last year recruited guitarist Henrik Bergqvist (SOUTHFORK, TIAMAT) to replace Pontus Norgren, who left the group to join HAMMERFALL. The new axeman made his live debut with THE POODLES in June 2008 at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden.

THE POODLES — Jakob Samuel, Henrik Bergqvist, bassist Pontus Egberg (ex-LION'S SHARE) and drummer Christian Lundqvist — released its previous album, "The Sweet Trade", in September 2007 via AFM Records.
